Prestige Food and Wine Privacy and Data Protection Policy                                                                           

 

As of May 25th 2018, all companies holding data on European Citizens must apply measures to ensure that private data held on EU citizens is secured.

As a normal business practice, Prestige Food and Wine Ltd collects, stores and uses personal data as deemed necessary in normal business transactions, communication with customers and marketing activities.

How data is collected by Prestige Food and Wine Ltd.

1. Prestige collects data through various portals:

​

1.1- Through newsletter sign ups- These are found on our websites under “ Subscribe to our newsletter “ buttons on  and www.viniamoci.co.uk. We also collect customer data in an enquiry form at www.thepizzaboxshop.co.uk.

1.2- Through account applications – Our B2B business transactions occur between the company and the customer who needs to hold a business account. In order for customers to have access to business credit terms, customers need to be subjected to a credit eligibility vetting, as such the customers need to submit data such as Name, Address, phone number(s) and emails and financial data.

1.3- Via certified data agencies – Prestige at times acquires data via professional and certified data agencies who have acquired data with the owner’s consent. This data is then used in periodic marketing campaigns by Prestige Food and Wine Ltd. Customers have the option to unsubscribe from this list.

2. How Prestige Stores Personal Data.

2.1.- Prestige Food and Wine Stores data on two main platforms: In house servers and website provider’s servers.

​

2.2 – In house servers - Prestige’s selling and accounting platform is SAP Business 1. All data related to B2B customers is stored in SAP which is hosted on servers at the premises. This data is backed up on a regular basis and the servers are serviced and maintained by a professional IT company. The malware and antiviruses protection services are also supplied and maintained by the same.

2.3 – Websites B2B – Our B2B website collects and stores data as part of the account creation and normal business transactions. This data is stored at the site’s hosting provider servers’ (Ionos )  and protected by the same. The website is protected by a valid SSL licence. This data (email address only) is also used in periodic email marketing campaigns necessary to communicate information about promotions and business updates. Access to the website admin portal is protected by passwords available to Prestige admin staff only.

Financial information such as bank details is handled and protected by out Payment gateway provider (Barclaycard Payment Solution).

2.4 – Consumer websites – Our consumer websites collect and store data as part of normal business transactions. These sites also collect data through “ Subscribe to our newsletter “. This data is stored on the Website provider servers under “Contacts” feature. Access to the website admin portal is protected by passwords available to Prestige admin staff only. Customer Financial details such as Credit card details are not accessed nor stored by Prestige Food and Wine. Payments details are submitted by the customer via Aunthorize.net  as part of a normal transaction activity.

3. Authorised third parties

​

In order to comply with FSA in relation to payments and financial data protection, Prestige is required to contract third parties to process credit and debit card payments. In this case Prestige uses World pay, Authorise.net, Barclaycard and Sage Pay to process payments online and over the phone. These companies facilitate safe payment gateways and handle customers financial details to which Prestige Food and Wine has no access. In some instances where Prestige takes regular transactions manually as part of pre-arranged agreements with the customers, financial information is held in Prestige’s Accounting system via the customer’s account. Online Customers who have orders processed manually, payment is automatically due thus capture is due as per Online Terms and Conditions published in the footer of www.prestigebuyonline.com website.

Prestige Food and Wine takes personal data protection seriously. It stores and uses it only with the customer’s consent and does not share with third parties other than when it is to safeguard customers financial integrity as highlighted above. Prestige may also share customers personal data when required by law to investigate fraudulent transactions or pursue legal means to recover debts.

Personal data held by Prestige is accessible to every customer upon request. This can be done by post to Prestige Food and Wine Ltd, Unit 10, Fairway Trading Estate, Green Lane, Hounslow TW4 6BU, BY email at  or by phone 0208 099 3949. The data subjects hold the right to access, edit and amend their data. Prestige will process such requests up to one month from the date requested.

Under the new EU GDPR, if you believe we no longer have a legal right (for example you are no longer a customer) you have the “right to be forgotten”. As such Prestige food and wine will delete any information within 24 hours from the time of request, or the following working day if the request is submitted on a Friday or Bank Holiday.

 

4. Our Cookies policy

Information gathered by cookies in Prestigebuyonline.com will only be used by Prestige or our technical partners for the purpose of analysing customers shopping journeys and on how to optimise the shopping and marketing experience. Prestige will not share this information with Third parties.

 

Likewise we do not use Third party cookies on our websites.
